april and rosie are the textbook example of a couple that should NOT be together but are obsessed with each other anyways. they are total opposites: april is clingy, impulsive, and needy, while rosie is closed off, blunt, and obsessive. they fight near constantly about everything, but something about the other person is so addicting that they stay anyways. april stays with rosie because she feels fulfilled by her; being with someone makes her feel whole. rosie likes having april around because she likes having someone depend on her. she exerts control over april as a way of coping with the lack of control she has in her daily life. both of them are horrible for each other, and their friends are constantly annoyed at being exposed to their antics as a result. its a story about two people at their lowest sticking together when they have nothing else, and becoming worse.
